INTER AREA SHOWJUMPING & DRESSAGE COMPETITION
Area 16 is hoping to hold an Inter Area Showjumping and Dressage Competition for senior and junior members on Easter Monday 5th April at Epworth EC, Scawcett Lane, Epworth DN9 1LQ. The competition will comply with Covid 19 guidelines current at the time of the event.
Showjumping - Teams and individuals at the heights of 70cm, 80cm, 90cm & 100cm. Dressage - Teams and individuals competing in Prelim, Novice, Elem and Medium. Fee - £16 per class/test. Flu Vacs - Yearly flu vacs for this event.

Saturday 8th May - Horse Trials Qualifier at Epworth Equestrian Centre
Saturday 10th July – Dressage, Dressage to Music & Riding Test Qualifiers at Arena UK
Sunday 11th July – Showjumping & Style Jumping Qualifiers at Arena UK
BRC AREA 16 WINTER 2021 QUALIFIERS FOR 2022 CHAMPIONSHIPS:
9th October – Winter Novice Dressage & Showjumping Qualifiers at Arena UK
Saturday 23rd October – Arena Eventing at Speetley EC
Sunday 7 November – Winter Intermediate Dressage & SJ Qualifiers at Arena UK
LATEST CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION:
Winter Dressage & SJ Championship at Arena UK - Easter Monday 5th April.
Arena Eventing Championships: Postponed from its original date and will now take place on 22 and 23 May 2021 at Aston le Walls.
Novice Winter Championships (Incorporating the rescheduled 2020 and 2021 Novice and Intermediate Championships): This event will be cancelled. All dressage classes will be run as an online competition with further details to follow in due course. The show jumping classes will not be re-arranged.
Intermediate Winter Championships: This event will be cancelled. All dressage classes will be run as an online competition with further details to follow in due course. The show jumping classes will not be re-arranged. We know this is disappointing but there are no viable options within the current climate.
Combined Training Championships 22 – 23 May: This event will be cancelled with the rescheduled Arena Eventing Championships taking place on this date.
Horse Trials Championships 6 – 8 August: This event will go ahead but will run as a short format competition (no roads and tracks or steeplechase). All classes will run as one-day-events.
National Championships, Dressage to Music Championships and Quadrille: We are monitoring the situation closely and will issue another update that covers these events later in the spring.
The Rearsby Lodge Arena Eventing Team at Speetley....
The Arena Eventing Team of Nicki Grayson, Claire Lewis, Helen Garner and Lily Walker came 2nd in the 100cm class with Lily Walker winning individually to qualify for the championships in March and Claire Lewis coming 5th individually. In the 70cm, Megan Pickering had a very successful run to finish in 4th place.




Dressage & Showjumping Qualifiers at Arena UK...
We had a busy and very successful day at Arena UK with Alice Smith competing in the showjumping as well as three teams and many individuals competing in the dressage.
Team Willow comprising Hannah Parr, Dawn Muston, Becca Smith & Di Poyser WON and have booked their place at the Championships next March at Arena UK. Team Beech comprising Yasmin Thorpe, Helen Garner & Beccy Binks came 4th and Team Oak comprising Celia Dyson, Alice Smith, Jules Johnson & Alix Davis were unplaced.
There were individual placings for Hannah Parr, Jules Johnson, Dawn Muston, Becca Smith, Yasmin Thorpe, Beccy Binks & Di Poyser in the dressage with Alice Smith jumping a double clear in the 80cm for 9th.
